What we collect
We collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, service ZIP code, business name where applicable, and any electricity or natural gas bills or usage information you send. With your written authorisation we also request your historical usage data from the utility.
Our site does not run analytics or advertising trackers. We do not use cookies for tracking or profiling, and we do not operate advertising pixels.
Why we collect it
- To read your current supply position and tell you what you are on.
- To present your account to retail electric providers so they can price it.
- To contact you about your enquiry and the offers we obtain.
- To process an enrolment with a provider you have chosen.
Who we share it with
Retail electric providers and natural gas suppliers, for the purpose of obtaining pricing for your account, and the utility where your authorisation permits us to request usage data. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with lead brokers, marketing lists, or data aggregators.
Bills and usage data
Bills you send are used to price your account and are retained while we are working with you and afterwards to the extent needed for our records. If you ask us to delete a bill or your usage data, we will, subject to any records we are required to keep.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not proceed are kept for a limited period so we can pick up a conversation you resume later. Client records are kept for the term of the contract we helped arrange and a reasonable period afterwards. Ask us to delete your information and we will do so where we are not required to retain it.
Your choices
You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and ask us to stop contacting you. Email admin@texaskenergy.com or call 832-573-8546. Texas residents may also have rights under state law regarding personal data; we honour those requests through the same channel.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you send, including limiting access to it. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise. Please do not email us Social Security numbers or payment card details — we do not need them to review a bill, and a provider will collect anything of that kind directly through its own secure process.
Children
This site is directed at adults and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be described rather than quietly folded in.
